ALEXANDRIA: Helmi Toulan has agreed in principle to take charge of Ittihad, according to board member Sayed Al-Thaalabi.

Toulan had a long meeting with chairman Mohamed Moselhi and a deal has been agreed, Al-Thaalabi told FilGoal.com.

He should sign a contract as soon as he arrives in Alexandria.

Toulan will replace Taha Basri, who has been sacked by Ittihad this week following a poor star to the league campaign.

Ittihad turned to Toulan after Hossam Hassan and Anwar Salama rejected the vacant post.
