ALEXANDRIA: Ittihad new coach Carlos Cabral will be on the bench when his side face Zamalek on Thursday, partly managing the team with assistant Mohamed Nour.
Upon joining Ittihad, Cabral insisted to begin work after the Zamalek game, but it seems that the Brazilian will have a part to play against his former club.
I will be on the bench. Nour will select the starting eleven and the formation and I will be sharing with him management of the game, Cabral told reporters.
It is unfair to suddenly ignore the work Nour has done with the team in the recent period.
Former 80s’ star Nour was temporarily in charge of the team after Taha Basri was sacked last month.
Ittihad are critically joint-bottom with Ghazl Mahalla on a single point from three games.
