Shikabala out of Ittihad game

CAIRO: Zamalek playmaker Mahoumd “Shikabala Abdel-Razeq has been ruled out of Thursday s league game with Ittihad through injury.

Henri Michel, who has been recently reappointed as the Cairo side s coach, named his provisional squad for the match, and the 23-year-old wasn t included as he hasn t reached full recovery yet.

Shikabala was injured in Zamalek s 2-2 draw with Arab Contractors on Aug. 24.

He was also left out of Egypt s squad for last weekend s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

Fringe goalie Emad Al-Sayed was omitted from Michel s squad due to injury as well.

Three players will be excluded from the 21-man list on Wednesday.

Zamalek lie sixth in the Egyptian Premier League table with four points, while Ittihad are in penultimate place on a sole point.

Zamalek s provisional squad:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed Abdel-Monsef, Abdel-Wahed Al-Sayed.

Defenders: Hani Saied, Amr Al-Safti, Amr Adel, Ahmed Ghanem, Hazem Emam, Sabri Rahil.

Midfielders: Ahmed Magdi, Mohamed Abdel-Shafi, Ibrahim Ayew, Ahmed Al-Merghani, Hasssan Mostafa, Ahmed Abdel-Raouf, Ibrahim Salah, Rémi Adiko.

Strikers: Sherif Ashraf, Ahmed Gaafar, Sayed Mosaad, Amr Zaki, Ahmed “Mido Hossam.
