CAIRO: ENPPI battered Santos 4-0 at home in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage on Saturday to keep alive their qualification hopes.
Ahmed Raouf netted the opener on 30 minutes after latching onto an Adel Mostafa deft through that enabled him to beat the offside trap and go one-on-one with the opposition goalie.
The prolific striker completed a brace seven minutes later after receiving a trademark cross from Ahmed Al-Muhammadi to score on the rebound.
One minute from time, Sameh Abdel-Fadil added the third with an unstoppable shot from outside the area, and Vincent Die Foneye struck again deep into injury time.
ENPPI are now second in Group A with six points, three behind leaders ES Setif who have one more game in hand.
The petroleum side will play their last group stage game against the Algerian outfit on Sept. 18.
AS Vita Club and Santos are third and fourth respectively, both on six points.
