CAIRO: The Arab Youth Council presented to the United Nations a document detailing their 10 demands, asking that the United States take serious action in nuclear non-proliferation in the Middle East.
Moushira Abou Ghaly, chairman of the Arab Youth Council, handed over the document to Fethi Debbabi on Tuesday at the office of the United Nations Information Center in Cairo.
Debbabi is to deliver the document to Ban Ki-moon, the eighth secretary-general of the United Nations.
“There should be good consciousness regarding the dangerous effects of nuclear weapons, Debbabi said.
“We can do it; we can stop all countries from producing nuclear weapons; the Arab leaders assume that preventing Iran from producing nuclear weapons is easy but Israel should agree to stop producing nuclear weapons first; as we can’t stop one country and leave the other, said Abou Ghaly.
