CAIRO: Egypt coach Hassan Shehata believes that Mohamed Abou-Trika should be able to play against Zambia, stressing that the Ahly star s injury is minor.
Abou-Trika was forced out of Wednesday s training session in Chililabombwe complaining of a hamstring injury, but Shehata allayed fears over the 31-year-old s fitness.
It is a minor hamstring strain that has been dealt with by the medical staff, the Egypt boss told a press conference in Zambia.
The injury should not prevent Abou-Trika from playing against Zambia.
Abou-Trika plays a pivotal role in Shehata s selection ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifiers finale where they face Zambia away and Algeria at home.
