CAIRO: Zamalek s promising striker Ahmed “Boogy Fathi is confident that he will book a place in his club s first team, despite the abundance of marksmen at the Cairo side.

The U-20 Egypt star is set to take part in the senior team s training starting Saturday, with the potential to secure a promotion in the near future.

Boogy is aware that standing out amid a good number of skillful strikers isn’t an easy task. However, he believes that he can prove his worth and become a regular first teamer.

It won t be easy at all, but I have what it takes to convince the coach (Henri Michel) with my capabilities, he told FilGoal.com.

Michel already have five hitmen at his disposal in Ahmed “Mido Hossam, Amr Zaki, Sherif Ashraf, Sayed Mosaad and Ahmed Gaafar.

All the current first-team strikers were at Zamalek when I first joined the youth team, and my objective has always been to get promoted, Boogy added.

The 20-year-old put in spectacular performances during the U-20 World Cup, which Egypt were ousted from by Cost Rica in the round of 16.
