CAIRO: ENPPI slumped to a 4-2 loss at Stade Malien in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals on Sunday, to wave goodbye to the continental competition.

The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw in Egypt, which makes the aggregate result 6-4 for the Malian outfit.

The Petroleum side opened the scoring on eight minutes when Abdel-Aziz Tawfik rifled a long-range shot that hit the left top corner of the net.

Bakary Coulibaly canceled out ENPPI s lead two minutes past the half-hour mark, when he chested down the ball inside the area with the goal behind him, to turn and score with a left-footed effort.

A couple of minutes later, Daouda Bagayogo dribbled past the off-form Sameh Abdel-Fadil to go one-on-one with the keeper and fire the host upfront.

Eight minutes after the interval, Coulibaly completed a brace after heading a left-wing cross into the net.

Zeka Goory reduced the arrears for ENPPI and netted their second goal with a magnificent header four minutes past the hour mark.

But an unmarked Bagayogo killed off the game 15 minutes from time when he connected with a low cross from the left flank to complete the rout.
