CAIRO: Ahly striker Mohamed Fadl has allayed fears of his collapse after Monday s 2-1 victory at Mansoura.

The 29-year-old came on as a second-half substitute before falling unconscious as the referee blew the final whistle, following a bizarre collision with teammate Ahmed Fathi.

When we were celebrating (Mohamed) Abou-Trika s goal, Fathi hit my head unintentionally and that made me feel unstable, but I insisted to continue the game, Fadl told Ahly’s official site.

It turned out to be a little concussion, but now I am OK.

Fadl set up Abou-Trika with Ahly s winning goal in superb fashion, flicking the ball with his backheel for the Egypt playmaker.

I am satisfied with the part I played and I hope we could do well against ENPPI next week, he added.
