CAIRO: Ahly striker Emad Meteb has been called up for Egypt s crunch World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Nov. 14.
The 26-year-old hasn t featured for the Pharaohs since suffering a serious knee injury last April while playing on loan at Saudi giants Ittihad.
He missed Egypt s Confederations Cup campaign and Ahly s first six league games.
His last game for Egypt was the 1-1 draw with Zambia at Cairo Staduim early in the World Cup qualifying stage.
Now Egypt coach Hassan Shehata has three experienced front-men at his disposal in Zamalek star Amr Zaki, Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan and Meteb.
