CAIRO: Togo international Mamam Cherif Toure is set for a one-week trial with Zamalek, according to the midfielder s agent.
Toure, 28, will sign on a free agent as he ran out of contract with Algeria s MC Algiers in August.
Toure will arrive in Cairo on Tuesday and will join Zamalek if the manager (Henri Michel) acknowledged the transfer, agent Mounir Hassan told FilGoal.com.
Toure, who has over 40 caps for Togo, started every game for his nation in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
He played for numerous European clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt, Marseille, Hannover, Metz and Rapid Bucharest.
Apart from a brief spell with Algiers, Toure s CV includes another Arab experience as he played for UAE s Jazira and Nasr earlier in his career.
