CAIRO: Mahmoud “Shikabala Abdel-Razeq is set to be fined by Zamalek after missing Thursday s training without permission, according to managing director Hussein Abdel-Meneam.
The absence comes after the international midfielder repeated his controversial, offensive actions towards Zamalek fans following the 1-0 defeat against Ghazl Mahalla on Wednesday.
He was swearing in fury towards angry fans after the final whistle for the second time this season.
Shikabala acted similarly as Zamalek lost to Ismaili and he was suspended for two games by the Egyptian Football Association as well as fined LE 60,000 by the club.
The former PAOK man has vowed not to put on a Zamalek shirt again. It s the third time in his career with the Cairo club to make such a gesture towards the supporters.
Shikabala didn t show up on Thursday morning, Abdul-Meneam told FilGoal.com. He didn t call and wasn t given a permission to skip the training.
Zamalek manager Henri Michel refused to comment on the incidents on Wednesday night.
The French coach told reporters that he hasn t seen the situation clearly and that he thought Shikabala was apologizing to the fans.
Zamalek, now in ninth spot with 11 points from nine games, is scheduled to play Mansoura on Sunday.
