Shortly after the second goal, Zamalek s spectators booed off their own players, which cause Shikabala and Emam to shed tears while their teammates were trying to comfort them.

Shikabala, who was involved in many verbal exchanges with fans throughout his career, made way for Ahmed Al-Merghani in the second half.

Visitors Zamalek could have taken an early lead when Shikabala whipped in a cross that found striker Sherif Ashraf, but the latter s header missed the target by inches.

Buba put Police ahead when he rose unmarked to head home a precise Kyere cross from the right flank.

Mahmoud Fathallah, who has recently recovered from a complex shoulder injury, made his comeback in the game and failed to prevent Buba from notching the opener, thanks to his poor aerial challenge.
