CAIRO: England coach Fabio Capello is planning to arrange a friendly game with Egypt in March next year, according to the Guardian.
The one-time World Cup winners are looking to face six-time African champions Egypt on March 3 at Wembley Stadium as part of their preparations for next year s South Africa finals, the English paper said.
England were drawn with Slovenia, the United States and Algeria in Group C of the World Cup.
Algeria reached the football s most prestigious event after defeating North African rivals Egypt 1-0 in a controversial playoff in Sudan on Nov. 18.
Algeria beat Egypt and will not be easy; they have a really good team now. When you play at the World Cup, every game is not easy, Capello said after the draw, which was held at the Cape Town International Convention Center.
Egypt last played England in the 1990 World Cup group stage, with the latter winning 1-0 through a goal from former Liverpool defender Mark Wright.
