CAIRO: Harras Hodoud coach Tarek Al-Ashri stated that he would hand in his resignation, following his side s 3-2 home defeat to Military Production in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
I will step down from my role as a head coach in order not to put the club s board in a bad situation, he told the post-match press conference.
Hodoud officials are yet to comment on Al-Ashri s decision.
Under Al-Ashri, the Alexandrian side lost six times, beat Zamalek and drew with Ismaili in their last eight league matches.
Now Hodoud are in 11th place with 16 points, four above the relegation zone.
