CAIRO: Ahly manager Hossam Al-Badri says playmaker Mohamed Abou-Trika needs at least 40 days to get back in training.
The Egypt talisman is facing a lengthy layoff after picking up a major foot injury that ruled him out of the African Cup of Nations (CAN).
According to Al-Badri, Abou-Trika needs approximately a couple of months to make his eagerly-anticipated comeback.
He needs at least 40 days to get back in training, as well as another two weeks in rehab, he told Al-Hayat TV.
Abou-Trika, 31, had his foot fractured in Egypt s 1-0 loss to Algeria in November s World Cup decider.
When asked about want-out youngster Amir Sayoud, Al-Badri said: He has been training at the Sporting Arabic Lad Academy in Ismailia for a while and I think he will move away from Ahly.
Nineteen-year-old Sayoud is understood to be eager to leave the Cairo club, after the unfortunate clashes that followed Egypt defeat to Algeria in the World Cup decider in Sudan.
