CAIRO: Egypt midfielder Mohamed Shawky is close to moving out of the Middlesbrough fringes to the Turkish Super Lig, according to his agent.
“We have an offer from a top club in Turkey. I’ll be there on Monday to conclude negotiations, agent Nader Shawki told FilGoal.com.
“I don’t wish to reveal the name of the club until we have a deal.
Shawky has yet to feature for Boro in 24 Championship matches so far this term and has only made the bench in last week’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester City.
The 28-year-old’s contract at the Riverside runs out by next summer.
His poor spell with Boro cost him a place in Egypt’s roster for the African Cup of Nations in Angola this month.
