CAIRO: Mohamed Nagi Geddo could be making a surprise loan move to Europe before the end of the season as he is set to sign a contract extension with Ittihad.
The Egypt ace, who dazzled in last month s African Cup of Nations, has been the subject of intense media speculation since Zamalek announced that he signed a deal with them before extending his initial Ittihad contract.
The announcement, followed by an admission from the 26-year-old forward, is likely to result in a dispute between Zamalek and Ittihad.
However, Geddo is set to sign another extension with Ittihad, who could even loan out their new-born star despite his controversial status.
We have reached an agreement with Geddo to extend his contract further than June 2011, Ittihad chairman Mohamed Moselhi told FilGoal.com.
We will meet on Monday to conclude the details of the new deal.
I can also confirm that there is a surprise offer awaiting Geddo, but we will not announce it before next week.
FilGoal.com has learnt that a Scandinavian club is keen to snap-up Geddo before the transfer deadline in March.
Meanwhile, Geddo is poised to feature for Ittihad when they host Petrojet on Sunday as the league resumes following a seven-week break.
