Meteb back for Ahly, Ekrami makes squad

CAIRO: Emad Meteb has been included in Ahly s squad for Thursday s game with Harras Hodoud after recovering from injury, whereas Sherif Ekrami is close to making his Reds debut.

Egypt striker Meteb missed the past two games with Ghazl Mahalla and Police Union after returning from the Nations Cup with a hamstring injury.

Goalkeeper Ekrami, who has also been struggling with a hamstring problem, made the squad for the first time since his January move from Gouna.

The former Feyenoord goalie, who replaced Palestinian Ramzi Saleh, will vie with Ahmed Adel for a place between the posts for the league champions.

Striker Mohamed Fadl has also returned, but the injury-prone Francis Doe misses out once again.

Dream debutant Afrotto was expectedly included, along with fellow youngsters Ayman Ashraf, Shehab Ahmed and Ahmed Shokri.
