CAIRO: The Egyptian FA competitions committee fined Zamalek LE 20,000 for their spectators’ excessive fireworks during the White Knights’ 3-2 win at Petrojet.
Sunday’s pivotal league game was by far ill-tempered, as both sides’ fans were notably aggressive.
Petrojet, as expected, were handed a LE 10,000 fine after their supporters threw stones at Zamalek’s players during the second half of the game.
Mokhtar Mokhtar and Hani Al-Aka, manager and assistant coach respectively, were also fined LE 2,000 for their objection against the referee’s decisions.
