CAIRO: Essam Al-Hadari is expected to feature for Ismaili against Military Production in the Egyptian Premier League after opting against playing in the last three weeks.

The 37-year-old took no part in the Dervishes’ games this month in protest against the club’s inability to fulfill their financial obligations towards him.

A few days ago, Al-Hadari, who went on strike on March 6, said that he wouldn’t mind playing for Ismaili.

However, he assured that he wouldn’t drop the lawsuit he filed against the coastal club for his overdue payments.

A member of Ismaili’s coaching staff, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the Egypt keeper is likely to stand between the sticks in Monday’s game.

"There is a big possibility that Al-Hadari will be named for the upcoming match against Production," he told FilGoal.com.

"We want to prepare him for our clash against Stade Tamponnaise in the CAF Champions League round of 32.

"The match is going to be a stern challenge. Tamponnaise’s players are tall and robust, so we thought that we have to field Al-Hadari."

Ismaili beat Reunion Island’s Tamponnaise 3-1 at home in the first leg.
