CAIRO: Ismaili will once again be without Essam Al-Hadari when they face Tamponnaise of Reunion in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
"Al-Hadari asked to be dropped because he wants to stay with his family, following the recent fire that caught his apartment," Ismaili director Ihab Galal told FilGoal.com.
Al-Hadari’s apartment was almost destroyed due to an electric fire at the weekend, but one was harmed even though his wife and son were present.
The 37-year-old has been anything but settled with Ismaili in recent weeks due to a series of financial disputes.
He was expected to make the squad in Monday’s league game at Military Production, but Mohamed Sobhi retained his place between the posts.
Ismaili are on a 3-1 first-leg lead as they are favorites to reach the round of 16.
