CAIRO: Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan says the interest from Lierse is yet to be serious, but hasn’t ruled out a move to the Belgian side.
Lierse s Egyptian chairman Maged Sami revealed that Hassan is a potential target for the second-division side, who are close to sealing promotion.
Maged Sami is a friend of mine and we only had a friendly conversation about the matter, the Ahli veteran told FilGoal.com.
He said he wants to form a strong team and that he would love to see me join in. I didn’t say yes and I didn’t reject.
My primary focus now is to help Ahly win the league title. Anyways I hope Lierse would seal promotion as well.
Hassan, 35, spent two fruitful seasons with Belgian giants Anderlecht before joining Ahly in 2008.
The tireless midfielder chose to end his glittering spell in Belgium because he wanted to spend the remainder of his career at home for personal reasons.
