CAIRO: Ahly midfielder Ahmed Fathi might miss Friday s Cairo derby against Zamalek after suffering a groin injury in the Red Devils 1-0 win over Ittihad.
The Egyptian international was taken off only after 15 minutes in Sunday s game.
His injury was first thought to be negligible but Ahly assistant coach Alaa Maihoub says Fathi could well miss this weekend s clash with Zamalek.
Fathi sustained a groin problem and we are yet to know for how long he will stay on the sidelines, he said.
We still don t know whether he will be fit for the Zamalek game.
