CAIRO: Egypt striker Amr Zaki couldn t fly to England on Monday as scheduled due to unfinished paperwork.

The well-built player, who was supposed to participate in Hull City s training session several hours after his initial time of arrival, couldn t catch his flight because he didn t issue a travel clearance.

Zaki obtained the missing document from the Egyptian military administration later on the same day and is set to arrive in England on Tuesday, according to his agent Nader Shawki.

He first planned to set off Monday at the crack of dawn.

The international ace was receiving treatment under the supervision of Zamalek s chief doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri, after he twisted his knee around a month ago.

During his stint at Wigan Athletic, Zaki was often criticized for repeatedly failing to report back from international duty.

The 27-year-old has every intention to be punctual but the red tape caused his arrival at Hull to be postponed, Shawki told FilGoal.com.

Zaki is yet to open his account with Hull, the club he joined in the winter on loan till the end of the season.
