CAIRO: Petrojet denied Asyut Petroleum their second home win of the season after a thrilling 3-2 Egyptian Premier League encounter on Monday.
Asyut were two goals up thanks to a double from ex-Petrojet striker Hossam Osama, but the relegation-certainties failed to preserve their lead.
Mohamed Koffi pulled one back for Petrojet on 65 minutes, Ahmed Shaaban equalized 11 minutes from time and Ahed Abdul-Maguid scored the winner in the 87th minute.
Petrojet moved to third on 42 points, five behind Zamalek, while Asyut are rock bottom with 16 points.

Elsewhere, three games ended with no goals as four teams from the bottom half of the table went head to head.
Ghazl Mahalla were held to a goalless draw by Gouna, while the same scorline ruled the game between Masri and Arab Contractors in Port Said.
Ismaili failed to move third after another stalemate at Police Union, who also missed out on a top-five spot.
