CAIRO: The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said that Swiss referee Massimo Busacca will be in charge of Friday’s Cairo derby between Ahly and Zamalek.

EFA spokesman Medhat Shalabi announced on his show on Modern Sport TV that the Egyptian football governing body reached an agreement with the renowned official.

Busacca was in charge of last year’s UEFA Champions League final, which saw Barcelona win against Manchester United in Rome.

The 41-year-old was pre-selected for the 2010 World Cup, even though he has been sanctioned by the Swiss FA in September 2009 for misbehavior.

He was hit by a three-match ban from domestic competitions after he had been caught gesturing Young Boys fans in a cup match.
