CAIRO: Zamalek striker Ahmed Gafaar, who has been struggling to find the net in the past weeks, wants to score against Ahly in Friday s Cairo derby.

Gafaar, who joined Zamalek from Telecom in the close season, has become a regular figure at the Cairo club since the departure of Amr Zaki and Mido.

Even though he s the White Knights top scorer with a seven-goal tally, the 24-year-old couldn t get his name on the score sheet of late.

Now he s keen to revive his goalscoring form in this weekend s league game with Ahly.

Any striker would have his confidence shaken if he repeatedly failed to score, he told FilGoal.com.

I m looking to end my goal drought while facing Ahly.

Gafaar netted his last goal in March against Petrojet in the Egyptian Premier League.
