CAIRO: Nassr chairman Faisal bin Torki revealed that the Saudi club have yet to receive an official notification clearing Egypt midfielder Hossam Ghaly over a doping case.
Ghaly tested positive for a banned substance last month, but his agent claimed that the 28-year-old passed a second doping in Germany.
However, the former Ahly schemer is still ineligible to play for his club in the remaining cup matches of the season.
I am astonished to learn about Ghaly s clearing from the news, while no one from the Saudi FA Disciplinary Committee has spoken to us, Nassr chairman Bin Torki said.
Ghaly is an important player for us and we are looking to have his ban lifted as soon as possible.
Nassr, who finished third in the league, face city rivals Hilal in the semi-final of the Saudi King Cup of Champions on Tuesday.
