Raya Q1 net profit more than triples

Egypt’s Raya Technology and Communication made a net profit of LE 11.9 million ($2.1 million) in the first quarter of 2010, more than triple the year-ago quarter, the bourse said on Thursday.

The firm, which sells mobile handsets, runs call centers and provides outsourced IT services, made LE 3.6 million in the first quarter of 2009, the stock exchange said.
