Credit Agricole Egypt Q1 net rises 8 pct

CAIRO: Credit Agricole Egypt said first quarter net profit rose 8.1 percent from a year earlier to LE 108 million ($19.27 million), which was at the high range of analyst expectations.

Five analysts surveyed by Reuters projected a mean net profit of LE 100.6 million, with a range of LE 81 million to LE 115 million.

Net profit for the first quarter of 2009 was LE 99.9 million.
