CAIRO: The weighted average yield at a 14-day deposit auction was 8.288 percent, compared with 8.321 at last auction on Dec. 2, Egypt’s central bank said on Wednesday.
The bank had asked for LE 10 billion ($1.77billion) and received bids worth LE 11.86 billion. It accepted the whole amount at rates between 8.275 and 8.310 percent compared with 8.28 and 8.315 at the previous auction.
