TOKYO/SINGAPORE: Kuwait has notified at least two Asian buyers they will curb crude supplies in July-September by 5 percent below contracted volumes, but will supply full term supplies for the period to at least one in Asia, sources said on Thursday.
Sources at four other Asian term buyers said they have yet to receive notification from Kuwait Petroleum Co (KPC) on supplies for the third quarter.
Earlier this year, OPEC-member Kuwait offered several of its Asian customers the opportunity to receive fully contracted crude volumes for the second quarter after initially announcing supply curbs of 5 percent.
