The Egyptian Minister of Administrative Development Ahmed Darwish reviewed on Monday the first draft of an index measuring the quality of e-government services.
Darwish said he assigned Alexandria Businessman Association to prepare the index and make a report to assess the effectiveness of e-government services and public turnout.
Darwish was speaking during a meeting with Mohammed El-Ghatouri, board chairman of the association. He underlined the importance of finding a mechanism enabling citizens to get services on time.
In case there was any delay by administrative departments, there should be a mechanism to back citizens when they file a complaint to the authorities, he added.
