CAIRO: Egypt full-back Ahmed Al-Muhammadi is set to complete a season-long loan move from ENPPI to Sunderland on Thursday.
Agent Nader Shawki confirmed to FilGoal.com that the 22-year-old is expected to sign a contract in the next few hours after completing a medical at the Premiership club.
Widespread reports in England also suggested that the versatile winger is about to become Sunderland’s third capture this summer after Paraguay midfielder Cristian Riveros and Belgian keeper Simon Mignolet.
Al-Muhammadi has been desperate to make the Premier League switch since last season, but ENPPI were often reluctant to let him go.
The petroleum-sector club finally accepted a £500,000 offer from the Black Cats this summer, with an option of a permanent sale for £2million next summer.
