CAIRO: The average yield on Egyptian 91-day Treasury bills fell slightly to 10.013 percent at an auction on Sunday from 10.159 percent last week.
The central bank accepted bids for bills worth LE 1 billion ($176 million), the same amount it was seeking.
It accepted bids at rates between 9.985 percent and 10.078 percent versus 10.002 and 10.192 percent, at the previous auction.
The bills are for issue on Aug. 3 and mature on Nov. 2.
On the same day, the average yield on Egyptian 182-day Treasury bills was 10.369 percent at an auction versus 10.455 percent at last week’s auction.
The central bank accepted bids worth LE 2.5 billion ($439 million), the same amount it was seeking.
It accepted bids at rates between 10.320 and 10.4 percent compared with a range of 10.431 to 10.48 percent at the previous auction. The bills are for issue on Aug 3 and mature on Feb. 1, 2011.
