CAIRO: Mohamed Shawky enjoyed a dream debut with Ahly after scoring three goals in the Reds’ friendly 5-0 win over second-division Gasco on Monday.
Shawky, a rare source of goals, excelled in his first game with Hossam Al-Badri’s side after re-joining on a free transfer from Kayserispor this summer.
Algerian starlet Amir Sayoud was also on the scoresheet, as well as striker Mohamed Talaat.
Newly-signed keeper Mahmoud Aboul-Saoud made his debut as well, coming on as a second-half sub in place of Ahmed Adel.
Ahly visit Algeria’s JS Kabylie in a crucial CAF Champions League tie on Sunday.
