CAIRO: Qatar forward Hussein Yasser has turned down an improved contract from Zamalek to extend his stay with the Cairo club.

Yasser, who is set for a contract improvement, is currently on a three-year deal with the Whites but doesn’t seem to be interested in staying beyond 2013.

"He only demands a better contract, not a further extension," Yasser’s agent Hisham Hassan told FilGoal.com.

Yasser has been offered an additional $100,000 (LE 570,000) per year plus a one-year extension, but the new deal was turned down.

The 28-year-old, who earns LE 1.35million per year, wants LE 2.5million while keeping the contract length intact.

Yasser joined Zamalek on a free transfer from arch-rivals Ahly last season and has become a key member of Hossam Hassan’s selection.
