KSE to stop listing of CIB of Egypt

The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) announced on Sunday that it will stop the listing of Egypt’s Commercial International Bank as of Sept. 16.

KSE said on its webpage that after stopping the trade in the bank’s shares in the market it will still continue to be traded in Egypt, London and New York. The bourse said that it guarantees the payment of any obligations of cash dividends to shareholders for previous years in coordination with the Kuwait Clearing Company.

The bank, which was founded in 1975 with an authorized capital of LE 5 billion, was listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange on April 29, 2004.
