Egypt 182-day, 91-day T-bills yield steady

CAIRO: The average yield on Egyptian 182-day Treasury bills was 10.084 percent at an auction on Sunday versus 10.086 percent at last week’s auction, Central Bank said.

The central bank accepted bids worth LE 2.5 billion ($438.4 million), the same amount it was seeking.

It accepted bids at rates of between 10.041 and 10.141 percent compared with a range of 10.03 to 10.121 percent at the previous auction. The bills are for issue on Aug. 31 and mature on March 1, 2011.

On the same day, the average yield on Egyptian 91-day Treasury bills was 9.662 percent at an auction from 9.656 percent last week Central Bank said.

The central bank accepted bids for bills worth LE 1.5 billion ($263.1 million), the same amount it was seeking.

It accepted bids at rates between 9.552 percent and 9.699 percent versus 9.569-9.699 percent at the previous auction.

The bills are for issue on Aug. 31 and mature on Nov. 30.
