CAIRO: Ahly striker Geddo will be sidelined for at least two weeks and is set to miss next month’s Champions League semi-final with Esperance due to a knee injury.

The Egypt forward limped off the first half of Sunday’s defeat to Ismaili and a scan on Monday revealed a knee ligament sprain.

"He has a lateral collateral sprain. He will probably be out for two weeks," Ahly chief medic Ihab Ali told FilGoal.com.

Geddo will definitely miss Ahly’s upcoming league fixture against Wadi Degla on Thursday.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a fine form of late, scoring twice in the last four games with the Egyptian champions.
