CAIRO: The average yield on Egyptian 182-day Treasury bills fell to 9.936 percent at an auction on Sunday, versus 10.052 percent at last week’s auction, the Central Bank said.
The central bank accepted bids worth LE 2.5 billion($438.5 million), the same amount that it was seeking.
It accepted bids at rates of between 9.869 and 9.990 percent versus 9.999 to 10.070 percent at the previous auction. The bills are for issue on Sept. 28 and mature on March 29, 2011.
On the same day, the average yield on Egyptian 91-day Treasury bills dipped to 9.422 percent at an auction on Sunday versus 9.499 percent last week, the Central Bank said.
The central bank accepted bids for bills worth LE 2.5 billion ($438.5 million), the same amount it was seeking.
It accepted bids at rates between 9.375 percent and 9.438 percent versus 9.476 and 9.527 percent at the previous auction.
The bills are for issue on Sept. 28 and mature on Dec. 28.
