Ismaili warning for Wotte

CAIRO: The Ismaili board wants an explanation from manager Mark Wotte on the team’s recent dip in form or else they will ‘take action’.

A disappointing home draw with MCDR on Monday preceded by a defeat to lowly Arab Contractors seem to have caused some dismay against the Dutch coach.

Above that, the Dervishes were eliminated from the CAF Champions League after suffering a fourth group stage defeat at the hands of JS Kabylie earlier this month.

"We will talk with Wotte to discuss the team’s poor run of results lately," Ismaili vice-president Hammad Moussa told FilGoal.com.

"We will listen to his view on how the team performed against MCDR and see if he has some explanation, or else we will have to take action.

"There have been some tactical errors during the match which resulted in the draw. The excuse of fatigue is unacceptable because this is his responsibility as well."

Ismaili visit top club Police Union in their next league outing at the weekend before a one-month break takes place as Egypt play in the CAN 2012 qualifiers.
