CAIRO: The average yield on Egyptian 182-day Treasury bills fell to 9.766 percent at an auction on Sunday, versus 9.936 percent at last week’s auction, the Central Bank said.
The central bank accepted bids worth LE 2.5 billion ($439.2 million), the same amount that it was seeking.
It accepted bids at rates between 9.701 and 9.789 percent versus 9.869-9.990 percent at the previous auction. The bills are for issue on Oct 5 and mature on April 5, 2011.
On the same day, the average yield on Egyptian 91-day Treasury bills dipped to 9.144 percent at an auction versus 9.422 percent last week, the Central Bank said.
The central bank accepted bids for bills worth LE 1 billion ($175.685 million), the same amount it was seeking.
It accepted bids at rates of between 9.052 percent and 9.186 percent versus 9.375-9.438 percent at the previous auction.
The bills are for issue on Oct. 5 and mature on Jan. 4, 2011.-
