CAIRO: Arab Contractors said they intend to hold onto Mohamed Al-Nenni, Mohamed Salah and Ali Fathi after the trio helped Egypt reach the African Youth Championship earlier this week.

"We have no intention of offloading them because they are the future of this club," Contractors football supervisor Osama Al-Saiedi told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

"I hope agents will stay away from them because we are not ready to discuss any offers from Egyptian or foreign clubs."

A spirited Egypt side booked their place in next year’s African Championship finals in Libya after a 3-1 aggregate victory over Senegal in the final round of the qualifiers.

The young pharaohs, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, produced a fine display to crush Senegal 3-0 before an enthusiastic crowd at Port Said Stadium.

Contractors defender Al-Nenni opened the scoring three minutes past the hour mark after converting a penalty awarded for a foul on Zamalek’s promising midfielder Omar Gaber.

"Our policy is known to everybody, we do not buy many players in the transfer windows because we rely on the products of our youth set-up," Al-Saiedi added.

"For this reason, we can’t sell our young players when they excel."

Contractors, who sacked coach Mohamed Amer and appointed Hamza Al-Gamal as his successor following their 4-1 defeat by promoted Wadi Degla in the league opener, lie 13th in the 16-team table on eight points.
