HSBC Bank Egypt launched its Visa Platinum Debit Card to its Premier and Advance customers this week. The globally recognized Visa debit cards feature free purchase protection, extended warranty insurance and higher spending limits.
HSBC Bank Egypt offers its Premier clients the Visa PayWave Platinum Debit Card, which beyond being the first Visa contactless card in the market, offers consumers a faster, more efficient way of making transactions.
Visa PayWave is a new feature where the card is simply waved in front of a secure scanner and all of the information the merchant needs for the payment is transmitted automatically.
Tarek Elhousseiny, Visa’s general manager for North and West Africa, said, “After much success in global markets, we’re excited to introduce Visa’s contactless technology in Egypt as a means to facilitate electronic payments and the migration from cash to card.”
