CAIRO: Doping tests for Egyptian Premier League players will take place starting from the second half of the season, the FA said on Tuesday.
“Starting from the second half of the league season, random doping tests will be applied and samples will be sent abroad for analysis,” the FA statement read.
The FA will explain further details of the new regime to club doctors next week through its Medical Committee.
The new system is a step toward transforming the Premier League into a fully-professional competition before 2012, following a warning from FIFA.
In the same subject, FA chairman Samir Zaher is also working with club manager on creating a league for the reserves, named The FA League.
