CAIRO: Ahly striker Mohamed Fadl has once again sustained a hamstring injury to become a major doubt for the next league game with MCDR, the Cairo club said.

The 30-year-old missed last month’s Cairo derby against Zamalek after aggravating the injury in a 1-1 draw with Arab Contractors.

He is now expected to resume full training in ten days, which makes him doubtful for the MCDR match on January 22.

Meanwhile, midfielder Mohamed Shawky received a knock to his calf in this week’s friendly game with Railways and will have a scan on Wednesday.

Hossam Ashour and Ahmed Al-Sayed, who both had fitness problems of late, also missed Wednesday’s training session with minor injuries.
