Insurance company Bupa Egypt is launching a health insurance product which now covers pre-existing illnesses, the firm said in a statement.
Customers in Egypt can now apply for coverage for over 60 common pre-existing illnesses, including cancer, hypertension and asthma, as well as acne, high cholesterol, hay fever and kidney stones, the statement read.
Sherif El Ghatrifi, general manager of Bupa Egypt, said: “Until now, it has been difficult to obtain health insurance cover for cancer and other illnesses if you have had them in the
past.”
“We’ve now added cover for pre-existing conditions as an option for customers purchasing our newest individual health insurance product, Bupa Worldwide Health Options.”
Bupa Egypt offers customers access to more than 200,000 medical providers worldwide and can settle bills directly with over 7,500 hospitals and clinics.
