Drake & Scull International, the Dubai-based engineering contractor, won a 465 million dirham ($126 million) contract in Egypt, reported Arabian Business.

The company will provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing works for the Nile Corniche Project in Cairo, under the contract, it said in an emailed statement on Sunday.

The project is slated for completion in 2014, Arabian Business reported.

Khaldoun Tabari, CEO of DSI, said the burgeoning tourism industry in the Arab world’s most populous state offers lucrative opportunities to contractors.

“We are keen to be a part this development and look forward to further growth within the country,” he said.
